Introduction

Previously our users were able to either play a voice greeting or forward incoming calls to external phone numbers. With Call-In Greeting we’re taking the voice experience to a completely new level. Based on experience with superusers like Miley Cyrus and Zayn but also many corporate businesses, we’re launching a system that allows you to build an interactive voice sequence within a few minutes. Read on to learn how Miley won a marketing beta testing this technology and how some of our commerce customers are already optimizing customer support with it.

Backstory

Back in 2019 Miley Cyrus’ team contacted us about doing a call-in campaign that had never been done before. Miley wanted to create an interactive voice experience for her fans to promote her upcoming album. Fans would call in and hear her voice. Then they could press anything from 1 to 9 to hear a snippet of the album. To learn more about the campaign, check out our case study here! Media Post loved the campaign so much, they awarded one of their prestigious marketing awards to Miley’s team and us.

The concept soon became popular and campaigns such as those of One Direction star Zayn and UK artist Jaykae became widely successful.

It was clear to us that those custom voice campaigns should be made accessible to all users in the most simple way possible because interactive voice sequences don’t just work for major artists but really any business out there that wants to guide callers through different funnels to make customer support more efficient.

Launching Call-In Greeting

Call-In Greeting combines our previous features “Call Forwarding”, “Voice Greeting” and “Do not Disturb” but adds support for many more options - more on that below. If you’ve been using any of those features in the past we have already migrated your previous experience over and if you don’t need to do anything for it to work just like before. We do however encourage you to check out the new features here to get inspired by the new possibilities!

At any point in your flow, choose to branch by VIP Contacts, Contacts who spent money with you (“Customers”) and everyone else:

Add audio clips (dictated, recorded or .mp3 files), call forwarding, dial menus, pauses and VIP / Customer / Everyone branching.
